Beijing Basketball Master

Beijing ballers have a style and attitude on the court that reflects the grandness of their city.

So Nike devised a tournament to reflect this ‘Imperial’ style and invited the best street basketballers to own Beijing. A city attack was created where distinctive Beijing loactions were taken over with posters representing different aspects of this style.

As street Basketball is tighly linked to Beijing’s hiphop scene we collaborated with a local musician, MC Webber to create a music video for the event.

The event itself culminated in the Nine Gates Competition, which took inspiration from the nine gates of old Beijing. Each winner faced-off to the claim the crown of Beijing Basketball Master and sign the Imperial Gown constructed entirely out of Nike Basketball products.
